Former Trade Show Manager Mike Kilgore Offers Contract Services
Corona, CA – December 20, 2002: From the moment he joined the team at California Event Management, Mike Kilgore knew he was destined to service the trade show and meeting industry. As the Executive Director of the Gutenberg Festival -- the largest annual trade show and conference for the printing industry in the western United States – he acquired a lot of crucial experience. His duties included overseeing all aspects of the operations and marketing of the event.
When Graphic Arts Show Company purchased the Gutenberg Festival in 1999, Mike joined Feedback Systems, a small market research firm, as the Vice President. There, he helped clients conduct surveys and gather information about their customers, services, and perception within their respective industries. Not surprisingly, most of his clients were trade show executives.
"As a former trade show manager, I was able to easily connect with our clients and understand their needs," said Kilgore. "They wanted a solution that was simple but delivered outstanding results. Throughout his time at Feedback Systems, former associates called Mike often to see if he might be available to help them with short-term projects. Ultimately, he saw the opportunity to serve them by leaving Feedback Systems and opening his own consulting business, catering to the needs of trade show owners and event planners. In September of 2002, Kilgore Consulting, Inc. was begun and Kilgore was again working in the heart of the trade show industry.
